Subject: Timeout software
Most of our public access computers run in a Novell 3.1.2 LAN. They
have access to a wide variety of resources including our OPAC, CD-ROMs
WWW, etc. The problem we have is that if a user does not exit back to
the inital menu screens, a novice user maybe be quite confused when
(s)he walks up to a workstation that is in the middle of some
application. Can anyone recommend some free or inexpensive
software that will return the computer to the initial menu screens?
Our initial screens are desgined using a freeware\shareware package
called DougMenu.
We have identified two packages so far: AutoBoot and Sheppherd.
Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
