At Westmont Public Library we offer both typewriters and computers for
the public. In order to mitigate as much as possible the demand for help
with the computers we have established the following rules.

Patrons using the computers receive very little help with
using individual programs (how to double space or how to use
different fonts). We purchased several quick reference guides
and if this is the type of help they need we hand the patron a
reference guide. If the problem is of a different nature, then
we will help them. Another step we took is not to allow patrons
to use their programs, they must use the programs the library owns.
