The following is a copy of a message I received from the Clinton/Gore
campaign. It includes info about Bitnet/Internet access to their speech and
issues files, and relevant discussion lists.

Pam,
Thank you for your note. We do have libraries. If you want to be on the
update list, please send a note to Eric Loeb at loeb@psyche.mit.edu
Here are some pointers to our libraries:
Addresses and pointers to other Clinton/Gore Libraries.
To paraphrase JFK
Ask not what the campaign can do for you,
but rather what you can do for the campaign.
We need all your help. No one of us can know or
do it all. Together we can win!

Internet addresses for Clinton/Gore Library
**** note: the Automatic Library will open on 8/25 ****
Here is our new automatic system: (Thanks to the Eric/Amit Team)
Instructions for reaching the Clinton/Gore Library:
The following directions should enable anyone connected to the Internet
to retrieve the files on ftp.uu.net.
Connect (using "ftp") to ftp.uu.net (137.39.1.9), cd to
/doc/papers/democrats/clinton and download whatever files you wish.
Please note that the files are compressed and thus have to be downloaded
in binary mode. (Type "type binary" before transferring any files.) The
files also have to be uncompressed (using "uncompress") after you
receive them.
------------------------------
This mail server recognizes requests in the "Subject:" field of
your mail message. Recognized strings can be one of:
help- sends the help file
speech - sends current list of speeches
issues - sends current list of position papers
Anything else in the (or a missing) "Subject:" field will generate the
message you are reading now.
The automatic Internet system is at:
Clinton-Wins@Mail.Clinton-Gore.Org
Please contact us on Compuserve if you have problems, or at:

CLINTON on LISTSERV@MARIST.BITNET - Bill Clinton's Presidential Campaign
or LISTSERV@VM.MARIST.EDU
This list is intended for the discussion of Bill Clinton's 1992
campaign for President. It will provide a forum for the exchange of
ideas and information on his candidacy and campaign. Topics may
include but are not limited to; issues, policy, organization,
strategy, and appearances.
The list can serve as a collection point for the opinions and views
which we would like to make known to the candidates, and it can serve
to coordinate volunteer efforts during the campaign.
Archives of CLINTON Log files can be listed by sending the command
INDEX CLINTON to LISTSERV@MARIST on BITNET.
To subscribe, send the following command to LISTSERV@MARIST.BITNET or
LISTSERV@VM.MARIST.EDU in the BODY of mail or BITNET interactive
message:
SUB CLINTON your full name
-------------------------------------------------------
There is an anonymous ftp server at
pslu1.psl.wisc.edu(128.104.200.15) on the internet. The clinton stuff
is in /pub/politics/clinton. It has a few speeches and position papers.

U45301@UICVM (BITNET)
u45301@uicvm.uic.edu (Internet)
INTERNET:U45301@uicvm.uic.edu (CompuServe)
I estimate readership of alt.politics.clinton at 10,000 a day
worldwide.
I have put notices of the availability of the speeches
and Clinton/Gore office information on:

NPTN is maintaining an FTP site containing these documents.
To get these files, FTP to nptn.org, log in as anonymous, give your email
address
as the password, change the directory to /pub/campaign.92 via the cd
command, then get the files you want.
As with our site, mget *.* will get them all. The ones with the .b extension
are Bush files, the ones
with .c are for the good guys.
To read these files on Free-Net, telnet to freenet-in-c.cwru.edu
(or freenet-c.cwru.edu, if the first one doesn't work), log in as a
guest (you can apply for your own account at this time, too), then
choose "Campaign '92) at the main menu. The rest is self-explanatory.

Anyone is welcome to subscribe to CRTNET, which is a LISTSERV
electronic magazine/journal that I have published from here at
Penn State since 1985.
A note to me to request a subscription and including name
and electronic address is all it takes. Or a message can be sent
with the same request to CRTNET@PSUVM or CRTNET@PSUVM.PSU.EDU
