Position Title:         Systems and Automation Librarian

Description:

 The Health Sciences Library, University of Maryland at Baltimore is
 seeking a service and results oriented individual with strong
 analytical and interpersonal skills for the position of Systems and
 Automation Librarian. This position is one of three which reports to
 the Assistant Director of Systems Research, Development and Services
 and provides technical support to library staff in the areas of
 computing hardware, software and telecommunications.

Qualifications:

Required:

 Good interpersonal skills, ALA accredited MLS, and 1 year of
 experience managing a Novell 3.x or higher network and configuring MS
 Windows in a networked environment.

Desirable:

 Experience with operating a library automation system (preferably
 DRA), procedures documentation, project management or notable
 contributions to project tasks, chairing committees; working
 knowledge of Visual Basic, MAC Systems 7 or higher, Windows '95,
 Microsoft NT, Wordperfect, Excel.

Salary/Benefits:

 Salary negotiable with minimum of $30,000. UMAB offers an excellent

 employees and dependents.
