1. Branch Coordinator for the 6 libraries of the Montgomery County
Library System, Conroe, Texas. Reports to the County Library Director.
Salary: $1,377 biweekly. Responsibilities include supervision and
evaluation of branch managers, evaluation of service effectiveness,
assist managers in development of branch budgets, assist Director in
developing system budget and system policies. Involves frequent visits to
branches. Must use own car, but travel milage is paid. Requires ALA MLS
and at least 3 years supervisory experience in a public library. Should
be computer literate, have good communications skills, know budgeting and
management techniques. Benefits: two weeks vacation, good health, life,

2. Reference Librarian at the Tullis Branch Library, New Caney, Texas, a

Rancho Santiago College, a community college in central Orange County,
California, invites applications for tenure track reference
librarians.
REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in library science or
library/information science. Must have working knowledge of, and
experience with reference services to adults, preferably in an
academic setting; demonstrated working experience with library
oreintations and bibliographic instruction classes for students;
demonstrated experience on the Internet; familiarity with online and
CDROM database searching techniques; willingness to participate in
shared governance; strong public service skills; ability to encourage
use of library resources.
