Subject: Automated library system (IOLS) procurement using a model RFP
I would like to hear from any library that has eschewed the conventional
RFP approach to IOLS procurement and that were satisified instead with an
analysis of published responses to Richard W. Boss's model RFP
(or similar work).
More broadly: I would be interested in hearing any librarian's recent
experience of IOLS procurement (philosophy, methods and practice) as
this is the subject of my master's dissertation.

Subject: file conversion software.
Does anyone know of any software, preferably shareware which could be
used to convert a MS Power Point (.ppt or .wmf) file into a bitmap
(.bmp) file? I am working in Windows 3.1. At present I select
everything and copy it to clipboard and from there into Paintbrush.
From Paintbrush one can save as a bitmap.
The only problem being that one can only transfer a fairly small
image into Paintbrush.
Does anyone know of any other file conversion software which might
work?
