Pardon me if this subject's been recently discussed. I just rejoined this
list after a long hiatus...
Do you know of Library automation vendors that have a tcp/ip compliant
product that allows you to imbed a hypertext link in the body of a
cataloging record--on the cataloging end--and then go to that link by
clicking on it--on the OPAC end?
Furthermore, the same product would, ideally, be "seamlessly" integrated
into the web so that patrons could search and retrieve info held both
locally and "internationally" without having to exit the OPAC to search the web.
Please forward all responses to me. I'll gladly summarize for the list if
there's interest.
