Project Gutenberg has released the following Etexts for August, 1996
If you see any errors, please let us know.
We are testing a new ftp fileserver at prairienet.org as below.
Hope to also have the files up at thoughtport.net and archive.org.
The main server is still at uiarchive.cso.uiuc.edu.

This message is coming from the old listserver, which has NOT
been updated yet, so if your name is meant to have been added
or deleted, don't worry.
The new server has been created, and we will install the list
shortly, we hope.

We are currently about six weeks ahead of our official dates
which is down from our peak of nine weeks ahead, two months,
or so, ago. We may fall back to just about on the schedule,
but hope to be up to five weeks ahead again by December 10th
which is our usual date for trying to double the number each
year. . .this year we should reach #800 by then.
I am personally hoping not to fall back quite as far in 1996
as I have been invited to a conference in the fall which may
only be possible if we are still ahead of schedule. Usually
we scramble a lot during the Thanksgiving and Christmas time
to make up the schedule.
If you know anyone who would care to volunteer, let us know.
