Ok - my two cents:

I think the screen resolution is ok after the monitor warms up. The size
of the monitor is like the RT monitors that we have in W20.

One think I noticed about the hardware is a change in design philsophy
of DEC.

The keyboard is similar to the ones on the DS5000/120 series with the
Alt-L and Alt-R keys. I believe it is called an LK401 keyboard maybe.

The keyboard and mouse now use a new connector which has a similar
graphical picture as used on Mac's, (potential for lawsuits?). This
means that we cannot do keyboard or mouse swaps as easilly. This should
be kept in mind if a critical area is to maintained with these machines,
where extraordinary measures might have to be used to make sure the
machines are working at 7pm at night.

The case design is interesting in that I believe it's smaller than the
other DECstations. An interesting thing to note is that the cover lifts
off. You no longer have to slide the case out. This means that anchorpad
may need to deign a case similar to the Mac's with a top cover as well.
These are bulky as well as ugly.

From the software side of the house, except for updating to ultrix4.2A,
I don't see anything major that will stand in our way to using this
machine. (Although, I would like to test that tftp from the boot roms
work).
