We received a flyer about the fall meeting of the New England Network
Analysis Users' Group, on September 17 at Boston College. Has anyone heard
of this group? Is the meeting likely to be worth going to? The agenda
includes "SNMP Overview" by Andris Dinzadis, a Network General trainer,
"DSS in Application" by Leo O'Shea, chief network engineer at Boston
College, and administrivia (choosing officers, deciding on a meeting
format, and formation of a newsletter).
It seems like there's probably quite a bit of overlap between BBLISA and
NENAUG. Perhaps they should coordinate or merge (NENAUG could become a
Network Analysis SIG within LISA). One problem with this is that BBLISA is
probably heavily Unix-oriented, whereas network analysis users probably
include a large Novell and Appletalk contingent.
