The best news group information source I know is the news.announce.newusers
news group itself. This is a moderated group with a set of periodic
postings explaining a number of things about news groups, mailing lists
and the net in general. It contains a good description of just what Usenet
is and is not, posting tips and etiquette. Plus the ever popular
"Emily Postnews Answers Your Questions on Netiquette".
