The 1993 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference
Session Information
MOBILE COMPUTING
PIE
In the coming decade, Apple will invest heavily in mobile computing
platforms and technologies. Not only will we continue to evolve our
tremendously successful PowerBookT line, but we'll introduce a new
category of mobile devices from our Personal Interactive Electronics
Division (PIE). This product family will help people on the move
capture, organize, and communicate information. At this year's
conference, we'll update you on our mobile technologies and share ideas
on how our mobile products can open up exciting new business
opportunities to developers like you.
One of PIE's first product family offerings will be NewtonT, a
notepad-like personal information manager that incorporates interactive
intelligence and a rich telecommunications architecture. This year's
Newton sessions will give you a first-hand look at Newton technologies,
development strategies, and product opportunities.
The Developers' Piece of the PIE
If you're interested in becoming an Apple PIE developer, grab a cup of
coffee and hear about our PIE developer program, development tools, and
developer model. We'll tell you about upcoming PIE products and new
developer opportunities that these products will generate for your
business.
