Newton Connection Pro will not be available until later this fall. Both the
Mac and Windows versions will include support for ASCII delimited
import/export and filters for popular databases and messaging or calendaring
applicatiuons. Using filsharing and/or pu-and-sub, it should be possible to
sync Newton archives on Macs even with plain old Connection. The real
problem is that the archives consist of Unicode rather than ASCII data, so
there is no way to search these files using Retriev It, MarcoPolo, etc. It
defeats some of the digital integration power of Newton.
