I just got a report from home, Newton was on Good Morning America today
(Friday). When I picked up the phone I heard my wife, Mary, a Newton
skeptic, singing "I want one, I want one, I want one!" I guess it was a
pretty sizzly demo. Mary described the "cool" interface with a little poof
cloud when you cross out words. She said the scheduler looked great. Nothing
we don't already know, right?
They announced Newton would be on sale (in a store near you) Monday, with
availability nationwide by the end of August. They also anounced $700 for
the low end and $1000 for the top. Nothing new there either.
But it was good to hear the mass media show has begun and that it did
successfully seduce at least one skeptic! (Anyone have a spare grand?)
