The BCS Newton PDA Group will be represented in the BCS booth--#208,
which is at Bayside Expo Center. We are going to have a lot of fun at
MacWorld. The BCS Newton PDA group is the *first* user group in the
country, so we need to play that up. We'll probably be answering a lot
of questions about Newton as well.

BTW, there will be at least 2 Newton MessagePads in the BCS booth.
Pretty cool, huh?

The main thing we are doing at the show is telling people about our
group. Jim and I are working on a Newton group Frequently Asked Question
(FAQ) handout for the show. If you have any suggestions on this, let us
know--me (awillis@mit.edu) and Jim Rinaldo (bcs_jim@mit.edu).

BCS will be doing a short training for BCS volunteers. That training
takes place Saturday, July 31st at the BCS office, at noon. ALL
volunteers are required to attend that training. People who would like
to discuss Newton stuff can come earlier--say 11:00 am, before the BCS
training stuff starts. I'll be there the entire time.

MacWorld: August 3-6, Bayside Expo & World Trade Center
Newton Pavillion: Symphony Hall, Aug. 3-5
BCS training: Saturday, July 31st, BCS office
available shifts: 10am - 2pm, 2pm - 6pm
2 Newton group volunteers per shift

If you don't already have a MacWorld pass, we can arrange to get you
into the show. Call Sue Ryan at the BCS office for details.

We are also going to need volunteers for a Newton promotion that Apple
would like us to help run. It involves being a spotter--someone who
looks for people wearing Newton buttons and giving them "things". I
can't go into details here, but it'll be really cool. I would really
like some enthusiastic, reliable volunteers for this, since it's
something directly for the Newton group at Apple.

Sue Ryan is the BCS staff person coordinating the BCS presence at
MacWorld. If you have any questions about MacWorld or the BCS booth,
please call her in the office at (617) 252-0600.

People who are interested in volunteering for the Newton group at
MacWorld should e-mail me--awillis@mit.edu. Please let me know what day
and shift you would be available. If you are interested in working with
us on the Newton promotion, also let me know that. I'll also need to
know how to contact you.

If you have questions, please send mail. If you need to speak to me
Thursday, call the BCS office in the evening--617-577-9381.

Thanks!

Al Willis
