Sculley Announces that Newton is on Schedule for Summer Delivery
LOS ANGELES, California--June 23, 1993--Apple Computer, Inc. chairman
John Sculley, in the keynote address here today at Digital World '93,
announced that Apple's first Newton Personal Digital Assistant (PDA)
has passed an important development milestone and is on track for a
summer, 1993 introduction.
"In the last week, our first Newton PDA entered its final testing
phase before manufacturing," Sculley said. "This product is on track,
on schedule, and on its way to revolutionizing the way people
capture, organize, and communicate information."
In his presentation, Sculley also demonstrated solutions that
integrate personal computer and television technologies.
