No, it isn't! It is, however, one of the most commonly unattributed bits of
humor on the internet.  

"They're Made Out of Meat" was written by Terry Bisson. It can be found
in "Bears Discover Fire and Other Stories" (c) 1994 Tor Books, and
originally appeared in OMNI Magazine in April 1991.  It was nominated for a 
1991 Nebula award.
