Hey there card players... I hope that everyone that is reading this is a card
player... well, the purpose of this mailing is the announcement of a new
list... for card playing types and those people who would like to get
together and play some new and interesting card games, (the list is called
spades but I am looking for any card game players) or those who like
to play particular games but would like to play with new and different people.
The list is called spades, as so suggested by Dimon... (of Russian House)
the list is public, and you can add yourself if you wish by typing
"blanche -a <username> spades"
if the username part is too difficult, I believe you can also type
"blanche -a $user spades"
Anyway, this is just an attempt to see if we can get some card players
together, because I find cards is an interesting way to have fun while meeting
people and getting away from the terrible problem sets that we all know we
should be doing and are not... but ask yourself... which would you rather do..
play cards or find the fifth root of 1 that isn't 1... Chris Stratton told me
that it is something like e^2(pi[3.14])*i[imaginary squareroot of -1]/5
something like that... anyway... as you can see, cards are a whole lot simpler
amd I find passing the time more enjoyable... so I hope that we can get
some people together and once in a while have some games and maybe a tournament
or two if we have time and players
