the 8/1/95 issue of datamation (ably edited by kevin strehlo) includes
the following notes on page 77:

 - Hardware: The parts of a computer system that can be kicked.

 - Meeting: An assembly of computer experts coming together to decide
what person or department not represented in the room must solve the
problem.

 - Systems programmer: A person in sandals who has been in the elevator
with the senior vice president and is ultimately responsible for a phone
call you receive from your boss.

also in the same issue (p. 74) is a cartoon depicting a fellow in coat
and tie with a presentation chart on which is written einstein's famous
formula e=mc^2. the caption below has him saying, "as this chart shows,
one engineer is worth two management consultants."
