Hi,
Introduction:
We had AFS from Transarc for Linux, but I needed a 2.2pre-Kernel and
they don't have their afs-binaries, yet. Somebody told me about arla
and there I went.
Compilation of arla:
./configure --prefix=/serv/services/arla --with-krb4=/serv/services/arla
make && make install
Problem-description:
Without xfs.o everything worked immediatly, but we need /afs
round here. There was only an empty directory, if /afs was mounted.
Solution:
The solution, after a glance at the debug output was a
touch /serv/services/arla/cache/fprio
Hardware:
Dual PII-400, Asus P2B-DS, SMC 9432 TX (rev 6), 512 MB RAM, 9GB system
disk, 40GB data (it's ftp.uni-stuttgart.de).
Software:
Linux, distribution RedHat-5.1, kernel 2.2.0pre6. arla-0.20 and
arla-1999-01-10
Unfortunately, I don't have the time, to go into the source, to send
you a patch, but of course, I attached the debug-output for you.
Thanks for writing arla,
Heron
