Could you tell us what gets printed when the xfs kernel module gets
loaded. Does it say anything about what system call number gets
allocated?

You should also try to verify that you're running the libkafs from the
kth-krb4 distribution and not the OpenBSD one (if compiled with
-DNO_AFS).
Other than that, enable debugging in xfs and arlad and see if you see
messages when you're doing k_hasafs()
