The food and service was awesome! Cindy was our waitress and she definitely made the evening so much fun! ....Fresh bread was brought out, but the butter was... What a gem. Food was very good, great atmosphere, friendly staff and lots of choices. Nice wine at reasonable price. Excellent food! Loved the pear/Gorgonzola sausage with an original one on the best of sauerkraut with the red cabbage and warm German potato salad sides.... A business traveler, I headed the The Grand Cafe on the recommendation of a local from Jeff City. I was not disappointed. ..The cozy atmosphere, jovial staff... About the only place open for drinks after we had dinner on Sunday night. We enjoyed a couple of beers with a handful of locals. Good selection of beers... DELICIOUS!!! Bursting with flavor. After getting the food, I understand why the wait was so long and why... Passing through Jefferson City on the way to the lake. Perfect atmosphere. No wait for a table.
