I just got email today that MIT's 6bone tunnel from MERIT is history.
Their server had been unreliable, and they've got native IPv6 running
now from Internet2, so they've shut it down for good. (I believe our
address block allocated through them will continue to work.)
Our tunnel to VBNS is still up, and we'd been getting pretty good
connectivity through them, as far as I've noticed, but I'm not a heavy
user of IPv6 to sites outside of MIT's allocation.
Still working on MIT's native IPv6 setup....
