I was working a conference with a co-worker here in Ames and needed to find a nice place for lunch. Maude's was recommended to us by one of the local people... First off, I love this place. Went there a few times for the lunch special...It's fun to watch the chef doing tricks the first time but it really became a waste of time later on. By the... Thai food in Ankeny is a godsend. This area isn't exactly known for its vibrant, diverse restaurant culture. ....The pad Thai lunch special clocks in at... Oh my god the food was so good!
