, help was on the way.But of the
insured majority, relatively few have seen positive effects from the law.
For 26-year-olds still on their parents insurance and those with catastrophic
illnesses, yes. For the overwhelming majority, though, the only thing they
have seen is higher premiums and warnings of increased costs and potentially
lost coverage to come.Think of it this way: Obama says the law
has already done everything it will do to benefit some 280 million
Americans, but the Obamacare boosters at the Kaiser Family Foundation say
that 42 percent of Americans are unaware that Obamacare is still law.If
the supposedly best, most popular parts of the law have been in
place for years and four in 10 adults dont even believe Obamacare
still exists, does that suggest it is going to become more popular
or less popular? In a FOX News poll out today, a sturdy, substantial
majority still want the law repealed. And get this: 71 percent of
all voters, including 56 percent of Democrats, said the regulations in the
law are way over the top.If this is as good as it
gets for 280 million Americans, Democrats and the law are in big,
big trouble.Obama was helped to re-election by eating dessert first when
it came to his health law, and now he expects his fellow
Democrats to eat their peas in 2014. This marks the second time
that the president has left legumes for his party, but Democrats may
not be so willing to swallow as they were in 2010.If the

WASHINGTON The government is moving the morning-after pill over the counter
but only those 15 and older can buy it -- an attempt
to find middle ground just days before a court-imposed deadline to lift
all age restrictions on the emergency contraceptive.Today, Plan B One-Step
is sold behind pharmacy counters, and buyers must prove they're 17 or
older to buy it without a prescription. Tuesday's decision by the Food
and Drug Administration lowers the age limit and will allow the pill
to sit on drugstore shelves next to spermicides or other women's health
products and condoms -- but anyone who wants to buy it must
prove their age at the cash register. Some contraceptive advocates called
the move promising."This decision is a step in the right direction for
increased access to a product that is a safe and effective method
of preventing unintended pregnancies," said Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash. "It's
also a decision that moves us closer to these critical availability decisions
being based on science, not politics."But earlier this month, U.S. District
Judge Edward Korman of New York blasted the Obama administration for imposing
the age-17 limit, saying it had let election-year politics trump science
and was making it hard for women of any age to obtain
the emergency contraception in time. He ordered an end to the age
restrictions by Monday. The women's group that sued over the age limits said
Tuesday's action is not enough, and it will continue

<p style="font-size:xx-small;">For people seeking an energy boost, companies are increasing their offerings
of foods with added caffeine. A new caffeinated gum may have gone
too far.The Food and Drug Administration said Monday that it will investigate
the safety of added caffeine and its effects on children and adolescents.
The agency made the announcement just as Wrigley was rolling out Alert
Energy Gum, a new product that includes as much caffeine as a
half a cup of coffee in one piece and promises "the right
energy, right now."Michael Taylor, FDA's deputy commissioner of foods, indicated
that the proliferation of new foods with caffeine added -- especially the
gum, which he equates to "four cups of coffee in your pocket"
-- may even prompt the FDA to look closer at the way
all food ingredients are regulated. The agency is already investigating the
safety of energy drinks and energy shots, prompted by consumer reports of
illness and death.Taylor said Monday that the only time FDA explicitly approved
the added use of caffeine in a food or drink was in
the 1950s for colas. The current proliferation of caffeine added to foods
is "beyond anything FDA envisioned," Taylor said."It is disturbing," Taylor
told The Associated Press. "We're concerned about whether they have been
adequately evaluated."Caffeine has the regulatory classification of "generally
recognized as safe," or GRAS, which means manufacturers can add it to
products and then determine on their own whether th

workout. Portion control is important, make sure you are consuming fewer
calories than you burn throughout the day.CrossFit and nutritionCrossFit
has become increasingly popular and is a competitive sport for some enthusiasts.
Dane Wilson, a CrossFit coach and private trainer at GSX CrossFit in
Fort Worth, TX, recommends following a Paleo style diet for optimal results.Dane
suggests a pre-workout snack containing fats and green vegetables and 20
to 40 grams of lean protein (broccoli, chicken breast and a handful
of almonds).Within an hour of completing a workout, eat a portion of
lean protein and some carbohydrates. Try kale with fish or chicken breasts
paired with an apple or sweet potato. These nutritional tweaks can make a
huge difference if you havent been seeing the results you want. Remember:
you can never out-train a poor diet.Jacqueline Banks is a certified holistic
