German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmer called the talks in Geneva
a small step."Of course we are not satisfied with the results achieved
so far," he said, adding that the next step should be an
agreement on local cease-fires and humanitarian corridors.About 200 pro-government

their support for Assad."We are with the peace negotiations. Syria needs
peace," said protester Sabah Kasouha, who used to live in Homs. "When
all the countries stop funding the rebels who came from many countries
to destroy Syria, then we will be fine."Assad's family, from Syria's Alawite
minority, has ruled the country since 1970 while rebellions by Syria's Sunni

extremists have infiltrated the opposition side, triggering infighting that
has undermined the rebellion against Assad.
The 2013 'Crusaders' uniform, seen here in the men's baseball version, will
be the last year in use at Maranatha Baptist University in Wisconsin.

after nearly 50 years, claiming the moniker has become outdated in a
more global society, university officials told FoxNews.com.Maranatha Baptist
University in Watertown and its Division III athletic teams have used the
name since its founding in 1968. Matt Davis, the universitys executive vice
president, said no complaints have been received by the school and stressed
that it coincides with its name change from Maranatha Baptist College in
December. But I also agree that times change and we understand that context
changes, Davis told FoxNews.com. Our world has changed since 9/11 and weve
become a more global society with the Internet. The heartbeat behind this
was not political correctness, but expanded opportunities for our students.-
Matt Davis, executive vice president, Maranatha Baptist UniversitySelecting
the universitys next mascot will be a collaborative effort, Davis said,
and the new name will be revealed during the spring semester. Uniforms
will reflect the change beginning in the fall. Hundreds of potential replacements
have already been submitted by students, alumni and university stakeholders. Were
having a blast with the process, said Davis, who declined to provide
any early favorites. Its a fun process, b

y. Say your household has two vehicles
that log 15,000 miles per year. If you change the oil and
filter every 3,000 miles at $40 each, youll pay $400 per year.
Drive 7,500 miles between oil changes and save $240 per year.'Flush the
engine coolant.'Older cars may need a coolant flush every two years or
30,000 miles; many newer ones have extended-life coolant, which can last
up to 100,000 miles. A sweet odor inside the car can signal
a problem.'Those tires wont make it.'Take a quarter and stick it upside
downwith George Washingtons face toward youinto the tread (shown). Replace
tires when the tread reaches inchroughly the length of the quarters
rim to Washingtons hairline. (Check our tire buying guide and Ratings.)'Your
struts are shot.'Look at the strut. If theres evidence of fluid running
down its side, park the car on level ground, press down on
the corner of the car with the worn strut, and let go.
If the car bounces more than once, theres a problem.Bottom line. Check
the owners manual for recommended maintenance intervals. If a mechanic suggests
changing filters and fluids more frequently than the manufacturer recommends,
ask for an explanation and consider getting a second opinion. Need an
estimate? Go to our car repairs section to find repair estimates in
your area for your vehicles make and model. This article also appeared in
