superficial
differences there may be, that is our power, that's our strength. That's
why a bomb can't beat us. That's why we don't hunker down.
That's why we don't cower in fear. We carry on. We race.
We strive. We build, and we work, and we love, and we
raise our kids to do the same. And we come together to
celebrate life, and to walk our cities, and to cheer for our
teams. When the Sox and Celtics and Patriots or Bruins are champions
again, to the chagrin of New York and Chicago fans, the crowds
will gather and watch a parade go down Boylston Street. And this time
next year, on the third Monday in April, the world will return
to this great American city to run harder than ever and to
cheer even louder for that 118th Boston Marathon.(APPLAUSE)Bet on it.(APPLAUSE)Tomorrow,
the sun will rise over Boston. Tomorrow, the sun will rise over
this country that we love, this special place, this state of grace.
Scripture tells us to run with endurance the race that is set
before us. As we do, may God hold close those who've been
taken from us too soon, may he comfort their families, and may
he continue to watch over these United States of America.(APPLAUSE)
The Internal Revenue Service says it will close all public offices for
five days over the next five months because of automatic spending cuts. The
cuts went into effect when Congress and President Obama couldn't agree on
a budget deal. Taxpayer assistance centers and toll-free phone lines will
be shut down on May 24, June 14, July 5, July 22
and Aug. 30. Most IRS employees will be furloughed those days.Acting IRS
Commissioner Steven Miller told workers in an email that offices may have
to be closed an additional two days in August or September, as
the agency looks for more ways to save money. The furlough days were
postponed until after tax season so they would not delay refunds.

toward her screaming that the authorities had ordered everyone out because
the plant was going to explode. She drove only about a block
when it did."It was like being in a tornado," Marak, 58, said
during a phone interview. "Stuff was flying everywhere. It blew out my
windshield. It was like the whole earth shook."Marak called her husband
and asked him to come get her. When they got to their
home about two miles south of town, her husband told her what
he'd seen: a huge fireball that rose like "a mushroom cloud."The USGS
reported that the blast registered a magnitude 2.1, which is comparable
to a minor earthquake."They are still getting injured folks out and they
are evacuating people from their homes," Swanton said early Thursday. He
added later: "At some point this will turn into a recovery operation,
but at this point, we are still in search and rescue."Gov. Rick
Perry told reporters during a press conference Thursday in Austin that the
explosion was a "truly nightmare scenario" that likely affected every family
in the small community. This tragedy has most likely hit every family, touched
practically everyone in that town, Perry said. I ask all Americans and
Texans to join me and Anita in keeping them in our prayers. The
still-smoldering fire was "somewhat under control" by early Thursday, Swanton
said, adding that authorities were not concerned about linger

be a bear paw.In 2011, a man in Queens, N.Y., found what
appeared to be the foot of a young child in a back
yard. The police were called, and parents kept their children close, fearing
that someone had snatched, murdered and dismembered a child. Finally, a
forensic anthropologist in the New York City medical examiners office examined
the foot and identified it as a bear paw.NEWS: Bigfoot DNA Study
Seeks Yeti RightsThough television police shows like CSI often make it look
like identifying human from animal bones is easy, in reality it can
be very difficult. In his book Practical Homicide Investigation: Tactics,
Procedures, and Forensic Techniques, veteran homicide detective Vernon Geberth
notes that Practically speaking, law enforcement personnel should consider
all pieces of skeleton human until experts determine otherwise. For example,
parts of bear paws are misidentified more often as human than any
other animal. In addition, many animal skeletons lacking the telltale skull
have been thought to be those of a small child.Finding any severed
animal or human body part can be creepy and gruesome, but its
not always bad news.
