we ate corned beef and cabbage with irish soda bread last night in preparat=
ion for the day of the irish. luckily, the little golden books illustrate=
d by eloise wilkin are still widely available and can be found often at thr=
ift stores, on ebay and etsy, and even on amazon. and they couldn't be more=
highly recommended by this vintage book lover. dinner: i kind of snack or =
have a lunch type meal again. dinner is tricky because i still need to prep=
are dinner for my family. so i do. but i'm not super hungry at night so i j=
ust eat whatever. broccoli, a little of what they're having, or snacky stuf=
f, or chicken wings, or crispy thin crust pizza. but! i always end the day =
with a low carb ice cream bar. Quilt kits finally all done first, the colo=
r story and graph paper to plan the quilt. i LOVE the colors. and they fe=
el so february to me. lovey and cool and cozy. 1 but the main thing i lov=
e about this picture is tree cover you can see in the upper right corner. t=
hat's how it was all around the block. even on really hot days you could fi=
nd a great place to play in some serious shade. everyone had a huge tree or=
trees somewhere on their property, and bushes, and ivy, and a great variet=
y of things. the only reason we had those young trees on the corner was bec=
ause my mom sold our big palm tree to some palm springs landscapers, ha! if=
you eat like this, people will give you crap because it's so not trendy an=
ymore. but if it will help a woman who would do anything to ovulate and con=
ceive do that (and i know personally quite a few that this was the key for)=
, then who cares what anyone says. and jennifer aniston doesn't eat carbs. =
so there. i have been laying in bed sick since monday. it seems to be getti=
ng worse by the day, not better. i am so irritated and antsy. i miss my fam=
ily and i want to clean my house. messes are piling up around me making it =
hard to relax and get well. i can't cuddle grant or cate- they need to stay=
well- so they are steering clear of me. i am bored and tired and achy. i'l=
l show you what i've been working on soon- they're presents and i have to g=
ive them away first. have a nice monday! 1 valentine's day preparations ba=
