Earlier tonight, Ken requested that someone take a look at limekiller's
console and reboot it if necessary. After hooking up a monitor and
Sun keyboard to it, I found that the keyboard was unresponsive (num/caps
lock didn't light up at all), and the monitor periodically though there
was signal, but rapidly changed its mind and never actually displayed
anything. It didn't respond to the soft power button (neither momentary
presses nor being held for 10 seconds). Cycling the power supply
brought it back up without any obvious messages on the screen about
what had happened.
(I also briefly thought that unplugging the keyboard halted it because
it spit out an error on the console, and then I couldn't ping it, but
it turns out that you simply can't seem to ping it from smr-net.)
There are no signs of a serial console cable between limekiller and
charon (at either machine).
Let me know if you need anything else.
