He didn't say anyone was ignorant. He said that algorithms and data
structures go hand in hand, and that if one is being taught the
other needs to be as well. If you DO take a class and are taught only
algorithms something is wrong. That says nothing about people who
haven't taken classes.

All B is A doesn't mean all A is B. "All professors who don't teach both
are cheating you" isn't "you are ignorant for not having a professor
cheat you."
