looking at http://strawberryperl.com/ ,

when is the last time anyone has seen a .ph file? i think this faq is
very old and could be deleted.

I have used one recently, that is within 18 months. It was either to
access some constants related to posix_fadvise() or to linux
capabilities, but I don't remember and I don't have access to that
project today.
There might be at better way (how?) but creating af .ph file worked and
was what I could find documentation for.

Hi all,
I want to implement a Log4Perl functionality, where 10 instances of a
single process would write to the single log file. This is doable,
because the Log4perl will take care of serialization.
But, I want to put in rotation too, so that after the end of 1 hour,
the log filename should be changed say from X.txt to (X+1).txt .
Any simple way to go about that or we have to use locking while
filename/filepointer is being changed ?
Thnx

I am sure there are better ways to show off your knowledge of perl than to
produce gibberish. Perhaps your next post would be better made to alt.test?

It's Perl is gibberish too.

I need a program that will let me hack into CIA and the Pentagon computers.
Can you do that for me please?

Hi,
has anybody successfully used unicode encoded label texts with
Chart::Composite? I'm doing sth like
my $chart =3D Chart::Composite->new(675,300);
my %graphconfig =3D (
title =3D> "Mittelwerte ...",
[...]
$chart->set(%graphconfig);
my ($fh, $filename) =3D tempfile();
$chart->png($fh);
and when I use sth else than plain ASCII in the title the result is
garbage. Where can I set the encoding?
Cheers,
Tobias

My guess is that unless the module authors explicitly support this(they
don't)
then what you want is impossible. You would need to change the module
code itself to support
different encoding.
This isn't too hard at all. Perhaps, the module authors would appreciate
your submitting such a
patch?
