Tk::MatchEntry is a Perl/Tk entry widget with advanced auto-completion
capability. Its basic behavior is described at

        http://www.code-wizards.com/projects/tk-matchentry

Version 0.2 introduces the following new features:

- The "multi-match" mode allows auto-completion on a per-word base
instead of the all-or-nothing auto-completion in regular mode.
This allows whole sentences to be entered fast if the single words
  are given as auto-completion choices.

- The "match prefix" allows to match auto-completion choices even
if the user doesn't type in the beginning of the choice but starts
somewhere in the middle. This behavior is known from modern web
browsers, which for example let you auto-complete a history entry
like "http://www.cpan.org" even if you just start typing
  "www.cpan.org" or "cpan.org" .

- The sorting of the auto-completion choices can now be done in a
custom callback. Re-sorting the choices can be triggered by
setting the new -sorttrigger option, for instance to sort the
choices based on their usage frequency within a custom sorting
method when using the multi-match mode.

- The popup-listbox with possible auto-completion choices now has
optional wraparound, as well as additional callbacks triggered
when the user is on the very top or bottom of the listbox.

For further details and examples please have a look at the module's
documentation, which is also available online at the URL given above.

Administrivia:

The Perl-Users Digest is a retransmission of the USENET newsgroup
comp.lang.perl.misc. For subscription or unsubscription requests, send
the single line:

	subscribe perl-users
or:
	unsubscribe perl-users

to almanac@ruby.oce.orst.edu.

To submit articles to comp.lang.perl.announce, send your article to
clpa@perl.com.

To request back copies (available for a week or so), send your request
to almanac@ruby.oce.orst.edu with the command "send perl-users x.y",
where x is the volume number and y is the issue number.

For other requests pertaining to the digest, send mail to
perl-users-request@ruby.oce.orst.edu. Do not waste your time or mine
sending perl questions to the -request address, I don't have time to
answer them even if I did know the answer.
