I don't particularly object to either of these, but I decided not to
do this for the NetBSD port because it might create incompatibilities,
might make it harder to upgrade to current versions of Athena source
trees, and in general is more work than it's worth.
Incidentally, you should probably blow away anything in
/afs/sipb/system/i386_linux1 before starting, since it's out of date
and probably has stuff in usr/athena/bin which belongs in /bin/athena.
