Do we want to even try talking to these people?
perhaps we should prepare a demo or something?

Subject: Seeking voluteer for x86/Athena investigation team...

Greg Jackson is trying to establish a swat team (short duration, clear
mission) to look at the question:

Should we deploy ultra-low-cost x86 machines running a UNIX clone
operating system, focused on customers who need basic editing and
communications tools, but NOT the full suite of third-party software
that heretofore has defined our standard workstation offering.

This team will examine the feasibiity of this approach from all
perspectives, including, but not necessarily limited to:

        Cost
        Support
        Licensing
        Development
        Third Party Tools

Richard had been our representative to this team, but with his departure, I
need a "replacement player." Any volunteers/interested folks? I need to
give Greg a name by the end of the week...so time is of the essence.

Thanks,
Tim
