Please look at /mit/ghudson/projects/linux-iap/slides.doc with
Framemaker and check if there are any problems with it. I have slides
for Monday through Thursday; I think I will leave Friday as a sort of
ad hoc day. Tuesday's slide is pretty minimal because Erik wants to
use the board.
I've also updated linux-net-install.tex, but haven't printed out a
copy to see how it looks on paper. Because setting the hostname is no
longer necessary (maze no longer verifies hostnames for NFS mounts),
it fits on one side of a page now.
I'm going to make about 300 copies of each document on Monday morning
(at a cost of around $300), so please look over this stuff tonight.
Since I don't know much about some of the topics on Friday, it would
be nice if other people could help out. In particular, if Derek could
talk for a couple of minutes about sendmail configuration, that would
be helpful.
I'm going to go eat and pick up Cat at the airport. This evening I
plan to bring glacier over to 6-120 and make sure we can hook it up.
Fortunately, there is a VRC-16 in the room, so we can simply hook up
the VRC-16 to glacier and project it on the screen. We can also nuke
glacier's Linux partition and reinstall it on Tuesday.
The other thing to do Monday is try to get access to all of the
applications MIT has for Linux on Monday. I don't honestly know if I
will have time (they may be currently sitting on tape or in tar files
that would need to be unpacked), so if someone else can help out with
copying, that would be helpful.
