   yea, I tried it, too..

   Quiche is currently up and running Linux 1.1.75 with Linux-AFS
   1.1.75-1 (available to some people in /mit/warlord/for_testers), and
   it seems to be working fine (modulo known Linux-AFS bugs).

   Ted, can you try this version?

I just tried 1.1.75-1 with a 1.1.76 kernel, and got the same error
message "afs_init: not a socket".  I haven't had time to build a 1.1.75
kernel yet....
