I have made a new release of Linux-AFS based upon the Linux 1.1.61
kernel. This is a full distribution, not just a new kernel module.
It will not work with Linux kernels prior to 1.1.59! It is
recommended that you install the full distribution on your clients.

Older versions of Linux-AFS had the possibility to hose AFS servers
by spewing many packets at them. This release fixes that problem.

At MIT, you can obtain the new Linux-AFS package in the directory
	/mit/afsdev/beta/i386_linux1

Outside MIT, you can obtain the new Linux-AFS from Transarc directly.
Your site administrator will have to authenticate in order to download
it. Once authenticated, look in:
	/afs/transarc.com/public/afs-contrib/bin/linux.client

Make sure to read the documentation! If you have any questions,
please send mail to linux-afs@mit.edu. Again, I urge all sites and
users of Linux-AFS to update to this version ASAP in order to fix the
potential server hosage problem!

Have a good day!
