When we wrote that section of the the document, IS hadn't made this
decision yet.  At this point, students have the choice of (a) not
using AFS at all, (b) using the translator, or (c) using an AFS client
which is still in beta.  I have added a note that the translator is
slated to go away (end of 1994, isn't it?), but I don't think that
this will be crucial to anyone's decision.

When we the Linux-AFS client is out of beta, or at least a little bit
more usable than it currently is, we will start recommending it in
Inessential Linux-Athena.
