I have also put it on foundation.mit.edu in /pub/games for MIT people
(I noticed that the load is really high on sunsite).  On my 486/66 it
seems to run much faster than on an SGI Indy.  The networking used by
Linux Doom and SGI Doom is different from that used by the DOS variant
(it uses tcp/ip).  Now there goes not only the neighborhood but the
routers....  :-) Actually, I ran a packet monitor (etherman) on the
SGI version over the summer and it seems to be pretty
network-friendly.
