I think quiche is running smail. This is a bug! We should discourage
people from installing smail.
We should create a sendmail package, using sendmail8, and supply two
sendmail.cf files. One file should be the default Athena Client
sendmail.cf. The second should be the same file hacked to deal with
local mail delivery.
Did I say that installing smail was bad?
The Athena sendmail.cf is available from the system packs, and I
believe that it will work with sendmail8 standard. If we want,
I can either:
1) build sendmail8 for Linux now, on quiche, or
2) upload my sendmail8 binary from home.
Also, I am willing to hack the Athena sendmail.cf to allow local mail
delivery as well, if that's what it takes.
By the way, did I mention that we should discourage the use of smail?
What do people think?
