Not sure whether this is an AFS bug or just a vi bug, but while tring to edit
a file over AFS garbage appeared at the end of the file. I did a ktrace and
found that vi does an mmap of the AFS file. I have the ktrace if you're
interested. Sorry, I can't give you more information.
