Even tho you are now working with self-contained PCs, you might find it
worthwhile to think in terms of an NFS-mounted /srvd. We did that here
because we have the possiblity of running some Linux or BSD PCs in
workstation lab clusters; and we want all the usual Athena stuff like
tracking workstations to work.
Seems to me if you make a suitable track subscription list then people
could update their private PCs from your srvd as you change things.
(Or maybe we'll learn how to make track subscription lists on the
destination machines work, so they'll update only what they wish to.)
