Why? We've already got 1.0, and the only reason we don't have 1.1 is
because I only had time to 2/3 finish the build (as he said, it builds
with only minor Makefile tweaking). These linux people seem to be
getting more and more into the DOS spirit of `let's download binaries'
than the good ol' days when you built everything yourself... :-)
Seriously, if you're logged into quiche and you want xmosaic, you do:
athena% add outland; xmosaic.sh &
like you do on every other platform... That's the point.
