Here are the problems I found: 1) messages in the logfile that the frozen config file /etc/sendmail.fc couldn't be opened. 2) this is probably be cause /etc/sendmail.fc was mode 640 root root I chmod'd it to 644, but don't know if anything will change it back. 3) any time I run /usr/lib/sendmail with the -bd option it seg faults. 4) whene I started looking at keesh there were zombie sendmail processes 5) Due to 3 quiche is no longer running sendmail 6) I don't have time to look into re-building sendmail now.
