This morning I was looking at my wonderful Linux screen and xload
looked SO EMPTY! "What can I do about that?" I thought.
"I know! I'll build xzewd for Linux!" Not thinking about the
ramifications of doing so, I brought this horrid plague to life.
Now my xload isn't lonely any more. Not that I'll ever use it,
but if anyone wants it, you can find the xzewd cycle eater
on "ftp://foundation/pub/linux/xzewd-alpha.tgz"
Known bugs:
* Stopping the job (eg with ^Z) will kill xzewd
* xzwed-zephyr-baby, which is spawned by xzewd, takes up 75% of the
CPU cycles. I don't know if this is just because it's xzewd, but
I'm pretty sure it's a bug...
This shouldn't be released to the public until at least the
zephyr-baby spinning bug gets fixed. Even then, I don't know
if we want to unleash this terror on the rest of the world! :-)
With sincere apologies,
Erik Nygren 8^{
