As of the last time I worked with that install tree (updating it
to install 8.4.20 and fixing the hardware clock problem) the copy in afs
worked just fine. I'm not sure what changes have been made since then
to change it. If you know for a fact the copy on charon is working
correctly, we can synctree it into afs.
