this should be easy...
shut machine down.
open case.
ground self
unscre NIC
remove NIC
install loaner NIC
put case back together
boot
maybe:
change what module eth0 is using.
the last step probably isn't needed, as the 3com driver should deal
fine with this card. If you're unsure about the "open case" or "remove
NIC" than you really shouldn't be doing this to a users machine.
