During the past few days, I have run several Athena-Linux installs, and at some
point yesterday I ran into a snag. Suddenly, on all of the various different
machines that I tried installing on, the second stage installer barfs right
away (after I input all of my network settings). The error is as follows (and
this same error recurs on all sorts of PCs, ranging from old P166s with a single
hard drive to AMD Athlon Thunderbirds with raid controllers):

Traceback (innermost last):
  File "/usr/bin/anaconda", line 180, in ?
    from installclass import DefaultInstall
ImportError: cannot import name DefaultInstall
install exited abnormally
sending termination signals...done
sending kill signals...done
disabling swap...
unmounting filesystems...
        /mnt/source
        /dev/pts
        /proc
you may safely reboot your system
