Hi,

It's the case that linux-dev's mail archive is available publicly in
discuss, via
  http://diswww.mit.edu/cgi-bin/disweb.cgi/charon/linux-dev/
or using the regular discuss client.

Peter Breton is welcome to send us mail, or stop by the SIPB office to
be made a prospective or to talk to us, but it doesn't seem appropriate
to add him to the mailing list. Traditionally, and since linux-dev has
write access to a lot of stuff, SIPB has restricted linux-dev to members
and advanced prospective members.

We are more than willing to answer questions. Help with specific
configurations/problems would probably be best on linux-help, although
linux-dev is a perfectly appropriate place to suggest avenues we should
explore, or report bugs in the SIPB installer.

You should be aware that linux-dev is a distinctly SIPB list. Now that
linux has become mainstream, there's appropriate I/S lists on which
to discuss linux development. Any significant changes to linux-athena
need to go through IS channels, anyway, since SIPB isn't maintaining a
separate distribution of the current linux-athena.
