Hi,
The install floppy in the bootkit locker is very custom tailored
to the hardware Linux-Athena is running on in the public clusters, and
isn't at all likely to work with machines whose hardware differs greatly
from the cluster model.
If you're interested in installing Linux-Athena on a machine
whose hardware is different from what's found in clusters, I'd encourage
you to use the SIPB Linux-Athena installer, which is currently in beta.
Instructions for using it can be found at:
/mit/sipb/doc/rh-net-install.ps
I hope this helps out; let us know if you have any more
questions.
